No. Nagarik Nepal is an independent reference project built by Riyoj Labs. It organizes publicly
available administrative data and cites public sources for its guides and explainers, but it is
not operated by or officially affiliated with the Government of Nepal.
Is Nagarik Nepal the same as the government's Nagarik App?
No, and this is worth being clear about. "Nagarik App" is the Government of Nepal's official
citizen services application, used for government records and digital identity services.
Nagarik Nepal is a separate, independently built project with a similar-sounding name. It does
not handle government services, IDs or anything transactional with the state. If you're looking
for official government e-services, you want the government's Nagarik App, not this one.
